Kansas

As out first adventure we decided to visit all the Harley Davidson dealerships in Kansas. Thinking it would be a great way to start.  Since we had a place to stay in Kansas and this was our first time wasn’t exactly a camping adventure,  but we did enjoy the scenic roads.  Everyone thinks Kansas is flat and it is compared to other places such as the Rocky, Appalachian or The Ozark Plateau, but riding around you find out it’s not.  The real big difference is the wind, no matter which direction we were traveling you are always fighting against the the wind ( I think there’s a song in there somewhere.)  Overall it was an awesome experience and a great way to start out.

witchiaOur first stop was Alefs in Wichita, and it has since changed names to Twister City Harley, a fitting name considering where it’s located.   The people were friendly and had a great time hanging around Wichita.  Lot of stuff to do and places to visit.

Second, we rode up to Harley Davidson of Salina an enjoyable ride, but as always in Kansas, you feel the crosswind, and this day was no exception!   We went straight up I-135.

Next, we went to Historic Harley-Davidson in Topeka, this was a great trip. Toured around the Evel Knievel Museum and the Yesterday’s Museum.
